HUGH HYSELL is currently appearing as "Sam Phillips" in Million Dollar Quartet at the Totem Pole Playhouse, after which he will return to the Off Broadway as "Lionel" (the wacky cross-dressing psychiatric patient) in the 30th Anniversary cast of Perfect Crime. He recently appeared at Theater For The New City in Erik Ransom's epic new medieval goth musical about King Edward II, More Then All The World.  He was also recently featured on HBO's new series Divorce (with Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Hayden Church) and TLC's Suddenly Rich. 

Favorite New York stage credits include My Big Gay Italian Wedding, My Big Gay Italian Funeral, Crude The Musical (NYMF 2016), The All-Male Importance of Being Earnest (also adapted and directed) and Villain De Blanks. Outside of NYC. Hugh has performed in every state in the USA with tour credits including The Phantom of the Opera, Pippin, Pirates of Penzance and The Fantasticks. Favorite regional credits include Tintypes (Seven Angels), 110 in the Shade (Dorset Theater Company), Greater Tuna (Encore Stages), Buddy (Gateway Playhouse), Man of La Mancha (Jupiter Theater), and A Christmas Carol (Hippodrome State Theatre). 

Hugh is a Tony Award® winning Broadway producer and his producing projects have included Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Peter and the Starcatcher, Impressionism, Y-2-Gay The Musical, and SEaMEN The Sailor Musical.

Hugh is also an award winning theatrical marketer and formerly ran HHC Marketing where he marketed over 200 Broadway and Off Broadway shows and led BroadwayBox to dominate as the leader of all discount sales for the Broadway community.  Hugh now runs Hysell Marketing, a full service theatrical marketing agency. 

He is the creator and president of, NYC's most popular gay event company dedicated to bringing people together for social, personal and business connections.

Hugh is a founding member of The Off Broadway Alliance and currently serves as a Nominator for the Off Broadway Alliance Awards.
